Halle Berry And Olivier Martinez Expecting Baby Boy

Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez have learned their baby’s gender, and it looks like Berry’s daughter Nahla will now have a little brother.

Berry’s 47-year-old French fiance confirmed the news at the opening night of the Champs-Elysées Film Festival Wednesday, where he is serving as this year’s honorary president.

“My son will be an American, but I remain French,” he said.

It was first reported that the 46-year-old Berry was pregnant in April, when sources connected to the actress and her fiance told TMZ that she was about three months pregnant. However, the website believed that she may have been further along based on recent pictures. Berry already has a 5-year-old daughter, Nahla, with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry. The couple had been dating since 2005 before announcing their separation in 2010. The two have since been engaged in a nasty custody battle over Nahla.

Shortly after the pregnancy report, Berry said that having a second child at 46 was the biggest surprise of her life.

“I feel fantastic. This has been the biggest surprise of my life to tell you the truth,” Berry said. “I thought I was kind of past the point where this could be a reality for me. So it’s been a big surprise and the most wonderful.”

Berry said she actually expected her pregnancy to be something else entirely.

“I was at the doctor’s when they told me and I was completely shocked,” Berry told Hello! magazine last month. “I didn’t see it coming. I went to the doctor because I thought I had kidney stones or something.”

The Grammy winner hasn’t let pregnancy slow her down, as she still continues to go for her morning workouts in Beverly Hills.

Halle Berry is currently with her beau in Paris, where they are expected to walk the red carpet together Thursday evening. Berry will be the special guest of honor. The couple have yet to announce a due date, and various websites disagree about whether she is due in the summer or fall.
