‘Snowpiercer’ Trailer Featuring Chris Evans Arrives Online [Video]
The first trailer for the Chris Evans flick Snowpiercer is now available online.
Based on the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige, the film takes place in the not-too-distant future. The world as we know it is completely overrun with snow and ice, forcing the remaining humans to take refuge on a train known as the Snowpiercer.
However, all is not well on-board. The rich people live in the nicer sections near the engine while the lower-class are forced to live in the tail of the train. Chris Evans stars as a man who stages a revolt with a little help from those who are tired of the class divide.
In addition to Evans, Snowpiercer stars Octavia Spencer, Alison Pill, Jamie Bell, John Hurt, Kang-ho Song, and Ed Harris. You can catch all of them in the trailer embedded below.
Unfortunately, it’s still unknown when The Weinstein Company intends to drop Snowpiercer on the masses. While a lot of us have been waiting patiently for the film to arrive, all we know for now is that the film is expected to arrive this summer. It’s starting to look as though the movie could miss that window.
The flick marks the English-language debut of director Bong Joon-ho. While his name isn’t immediately familiar with mainstream moviegoers in North America, he’s very well known in South Korea. The filmmaker is responsible for crafting the flicks The Host, Mother, and the unforgettable crime drama Memories of Murder.
Chris Evans is currently working on Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The sequel to Joe Johnston’s 2010 hit is currently slated to arrive in theaters on April 4, 2014. Evans is also expected to reprise the role in Joss Whedon’s The Avengers 2.
The first preview for Bong Joon-ho’s thriller lies below.
