Maria Menounos: Jack Nicholson Got Me Kicked Out Of Lakers Game
Jack Nicholson doesn’t like seeing Boston Celtics fans sitting court side at Los Angeles Lakers game. Maria Menounos learned that lesson back in 2010 when she was trying to watch Game 6 of the NBA finals.
Menounos told Conan O’Brien this week that she was sitting court side at the Staples Center during Game 6 of the 2010 NBA finals when a security guard approached her and told her that she had to leave her seat. Menounos wasn’t given a reason by the security guard but she later found out that Nicholson, a big Lakers fans, made a personal phone call to owner Jerry Buss and had him escort Menounos from her seat.
Menounos said: “We made it our business, our second job, to go to all these games and really rally for our team … And all of a sudden — we’re courtside, I’m screaming, going crazy — I get booted! These guys come and pull us out!”
Menounos, who attended the game with comedian Dane Cook, was brought up to the Chairman’s Lounge to watch the rest of the game. That’s where she saw Jack Nicholson and learned why she got kicked out.
The actress said: “He’s like, ‘Heh, heh, heh, heh.’ And I thought really quickly and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, what if he…’ And he’s like, ‘I see they moved your seat.’ He got me kicked out! I heard later he called [late Lakers owner] Jerry Buss and had me removed!”
Here’s the video from Conan.
Do you believe Maria Menounos story? Did Jack Nicholson really get her kicked out of Los Angeles Lakers game? If the story’s true, Jack should really buy Maria something for her birthday. The actress turned 35 this week.
