The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is making its way to the Xbox One. According to a new report, the game is one of several that will be featured at Microsoft’s pre-E3 press conference tonight.
Polish website Wprost claims that Microsoft will unveil the game, which developer CDProjekt has already revealed will be making its way onto the Sony Playstation 4, PCs, and “other high-end consoles.”
Questions were raised recently about CDProjekt’s plans for the Xbox One since the company recently said it would refuse to sell games that carried any type of DRM protection. When asked if the company would release The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt or any other games with “always-online DRM,” the answer from Lead Gameplay Designer Maciej Szczesnik was a strict “No.” Szczesnik then added in no uncertain terms: “If someone wants to pirate a game, eventually he will.”
While the CDProjekt team admits they wish people would buy the games instead of pirating them, they also realize that gameplay is hurt when new variables are required for play. The company notes that torrent comments have been flooding in as gamers have asked people NOT to pirate the company’s games thanks to its stance against DRM.
So what new features will The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt bring to the mix? According to the report CDProjekt has added”
“The addition of complete day and night cycles along with dynamic weather patterns, the inclusion of ten signs, instead of the previous games’ five signs, the addition of combat “skills” and the change to alchemy to make it more supportive.”
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was just revealed this past February but already hints at the games visuals with the REDEngine 3 have fans scurrying for more information about the game and its pending release.
