‘Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow 2’ Trailer Shows Dracula In Action [Video]
A new trailer for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 shows Dracula in action.
The original Castlevania: Lords of Shadow put you in the boots of Gabriel Belmont, a grieving husband who is charged with taking down the Lords of Shadow in order to revive his wife. Unlike previous games in the series, this one was partly developed by Hideo Kojima, the man behind Metal Gear Solid, so you know that the story will take a central part in it.
The trailer for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 features the voice of Patrick Stewart from X-Men and Star Trek: The Next Generation fame. The title will have a gameplay reveal at E3 2013, less than a week from now, so if the trailer leaves you thirsty for more, there is more to come shortly.
The trailer below begins with a quote from Friedrich Nietzsche, “He who fights monsters should beware, lest he become a monster himself.”
Then the trailer picks up from the epilogue in Lords of Shadow, only with a darker story in a modern day setting. The voiceover unfolds, “An unusual hiding place for the prince of darkness.”
The reply comes in the form of recognition, “Zobek.”
“Yes, old friend, it is I.”
The reply again comes, “Where have you been all this time?”
“Out there, amongst the living. And what of you? Where have you been hiding all this time?”
The other voice says, “I cannot die, yet I cannot live.”
“A mere shadow of your former self.”
The reply comes, “Shadow, am I? What do you want, old friend?”
“Satan’s acolytes are readying for his imminent return. It is time to get out of this wretched tomb you have made for yourself. Stop skulking in the shadows! Help me, and I can free you of your immortality.”
Through this exchange, we see Dracula brooding about in his castle before he falls through a floor to the streets.
