Donald Trump Rips A-Rod On Twitter Amid Doping Scandal
Donald Trump has had enough with Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez and he voiced his opinion about the Yankees’ third baseman during a Twitter rant on Wednesday. Rodriguez is currently rehabbing for his return to the Yankees this season, but he may never wear the pinstripes in 2013 due to his involvement in the doping scandal that hit the MLB earlier this week.
The MLB has known about Anthony Bosch’s Miami-based clinic which has allegedly given upwards of 20 players performance enhancing drugs and A-Rod is at the forefront of the discussion along with Ryan Braun of the Milwaukee Brewers.
Trump has no true connection with the game outside of being a New Yorker and what looks be a die-hard Yankees’ fan. Nevertheless, he’s decided to speak out against the once treasured superstar in Rodriguez and he even went on to call out the 37-year-old, saying “he does not deserve to wear the pinstripes.”
There are thousands of Yankees’ fanatics who would agree, and who can blame them or Donald Trump. A-Rod signed a 10-year, $275 million contract in 2007 to remain with the Yankees and he hasn’t been the same ever since.
Yes, his career has been overshadowed by steroid use, but whatever he’s taking hasn’t translated to the field for quite some time. Over the past two years, the slugger hasn’t hit more than 18 home runs or driven in more than 62 RBIs in a single season.
Maybe Trump has a pretty good point, as the reeling ballplayer in Rodriguez hasn’t seen the field in 2013 and he’s still causing more problems for the Yankees than any other player in the locker room.
Here’s Donald Trump’s take on A-Rod and his run with the historic franchise in the Bronx.
I can’t believe the Yankees continue to pay A Rod – they have a perfect right to stop paying (and should have stopped a long time ago).

He even brought the late George Steinbrenner into the discussion in his next post and it’s hard not to think most Yankees’ fans would agree, as they should.
George Steinbrenner would have done a major number on A Rod – there is no way he would have gotten paid, even with the help of the union!

Trump wasn’t done just yet, and he topped off his Twitter rant by calling out Rodriguez as the man who “disgraced the blessed Yankees” and “embarrassed NYC.”
A-Rod has disgraced the blessed @yankees organization, lied to the fans embarrassed NYC. He does not deserve to wear the pinstripes.

Do you agree with Donald Trump and his review of A-Rod as a Yankee?
