Charlie Sheen Wants Denise Richards To Keep Twins Permanently
Charlie Sheen is asking a judge to grant Denise Richards permanent custody of Bob and Max, his 4-year-old twin sons with ex-wife Brooke Mueller.
Richards was granted temporary guardianship of the twins after Mueller was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold last month. Sheen offered the actress extra child support for the boys while they are in her care, but Richards declined. According to a source, Richards said she had the financial means to take care of them herself. The source added that Sheen has said marrying Richards and having children with her ws the best decision he ever made, and letting her go was the worst.
Sheen and Richards were married in 2002, and the Blue Mountain State actress filed for divorce in 2005. She was pregnant with the couple’s second daughter, Lola, at the time. The divorce was finalized in 2006. Sheen married Mueller in 2008, and she gave birth to their twins the following year. The boys were removed from her home on May 2 and placed with Richards, who has taken care of them in the past.
A source told Radar Online that Sheen feels it is in the twins’ best interest to remain with Richards. Sheen feels that Mueller’s drug addiction — which has sent her to rehab 20 times — prevents her from being able to take care of her sons.
Richards has told Sheen that she would like to keep the boys permanently. If they continue to live with her, they’ll grow up with half-sisters Lola and Sam, who was born in 2004, and Richards’ adopted daughter, Eloise.
“The boys are absolutely thriving in Denise’s house,” the source said. “She is a great mom. It’s a lot of work, being a single mom with five kids under one roof, but her dad [Irv Richards] helps out.”
Do you think Bob and Max should remain with Denise Richards?
