Hilary Duff Talks Motherhood, Being Hounded By The Paparazzi
Hilary Duff recently discussed the troubles of mother and the aggravation of being hounded by the paparazzi.
Although the former Lizzy Maguire star is more focused on being a mother than an actress at the moment, this hasn’t stopped photographers from bothering her around the clock.
The actress revealed that opportunistic shutterbugs follow her around whenever she steps outside with her child. Not surprisingly, Duff admitted that being chased by photographers all the time is often difficult.
“It’s hard having a baby and having paparazzi follow you all around all the time. I haven’t had to explain it to my son yet, what’s going on. For the most part they respect me and they respect my space, but it’s tough to always be photographed,” she explained.
Paparazzi problems aside, Hilary Duff seems to be enjoying motherhood. While she and husband Mike Comrie have experienced a bit of a learning curve while raising their son Luca, the actress said they are at a very “fun stage” at the moment.
“My son is 13 months, so we just celebrated his first birthday. He’s running around everywhere. He knows what he wants and what he doesn’t like and really has a personality now,” she explained.
Being a new mom has put Duff’s career on the back burner for the time being. However, she admitted that she is still looking over scripts and working on some tunes. If a project comes along that’s worth her while, Duff said she would be willing to give it a shot.
“Motherhood has been a huge life adjustment. It’s been the most wonderful time of my life — but also the most tiring. Right now I’m making some new music and reading scripts but it’s tough to commit. Now that I’m a mom, whatever I work on has to be worth it,” she explained.
