Jennifer Aniston credits her age-defying body to a strict program of diet and yoga that’s been revealed in a new book.
Aniston’s friend and longtime trainer, Mandy Ingber, wrote about the workout plan the actress uses to keep her toned frame. The book, Yogalosophy , details a 28-day program of yoga and training exercises.
“It’s yoga paired with toning exercises, so people who were bored with yoga might try it, or people that were really into yoga might get a little extra workout,” Ingber told ABC.
Jennifer Aniston works with Inger about three times a week, and has an affinity for the “tree pose,” the trainer and author said.
“She’s really good at it,” Ingber said. “It’s the ability to be able to find your sense of focus in the middle of a lot that’s going on. It runs right through the center of the body.”
Now that Jennifer Aniston’s secrets are out, anyone can replicate the routine set forward by Ingber . At the core of her fitness philosophy are five objectives:
1. Love your body.
2. Set short-term goals.
3. Make healthy choices.
4. Visualize your best.
5. Give and receive support.
Ingber stressed that a cardiovascular workout program is important, but said yoga brings a type of full-body peace not found elsewhere.
“The thing about yoga is that once you start, developing that mindfulness and that sense of connection to your body, you just want to make healthier choices,” Ingber explained.
Jennifer Aniston isn’t all yoga and exercise, however. The actress also revealed in the book that she lets herself have a cheat day from her strict diet once in a while.
Aniston said : “Cheat days for me are usually … it’s either Mexican food … maybe Italian pasta, but I think you always have to do it in moderation.”
Cheat days are easy when you’ve got Ingber to keep you in line, Jennifer Aniston noted.
