Amanda Bynes Was Suicidal Prior To Arrest, Says Publicist

According to her publicity, Amanda Bynes was suicidal prior to her arrest last week.

Jonathan Jaxson said he received several troublesome text messages from the actress prior to her now-infamous arrest on Thursday. The publicist said he was growing increasingly concerned about her mental stability.

According to Enstarz, Jaxson placed a call to the New York Police Department in hopes of getting Amanda Bynes some help. He said he had proof that the former What I Like About You star was on the verge of suicide.

“I had proof she was suicidal. There were text messages and other things. I repeated all of this to the NYPD and they took it seriously. I want the world to know that this is a victory and that she is now going to get the help she deserves,” Jaxson told the folks at RadarOnline.

This may explain why the actress underwent a psychological evaluation shortly after she was arrested. Jaxson told the website that the Easy A star had also contemplated suicide earlier this month. This prompted the publicist to place a call to police towards the beginning of May.

“Amanda had called me and we had a private conversation, but it was clear to me that she was high on drugs. Then she said that she didn’t want to live anymore. I took that as that she wanted to kill herself. I freaked out. I thought, ‘I have to do something to save her,'” Jaxson added.

Bynes’ behavior has certainly been out-of-control as of late. During her arrest for marijuana possession, the actress reportedly threw a bong out of a window. Of course, she’s denied using drugs or owning any paraphernalia. Amanda also stated that she was sexually harassed during her arrest, which has prompted an investigation by the NYPD.

The actress’ behavior on Twitter suggests that she might actually have a death wish. She recently picked a particularly nasty fight with Rihanna this weekend after stating that the singer was beaten by ex-boyfriend Chris Brown because she wasn’t pretty enough. Rihanna is certainly not someone this writer would want to irritate on any level.
