Former B2K lead frontman Omarion is being sued by two fans who claim it is the singer’s fault they were assaulted after one of his concerts.
Brunel Jordonne and Kenson Sainvilus filed a lawsuit against Omarion (real name Omari Grandberry) and Ole Bar & Grill in Newburgh, New York, claiming that they attended the singer’s concert there on September 21 when a couple of fights broke out. Club security tried to break up the fights by pushing people into the parking lot, but Jordonne and Sainvilus decided to stay at their VIP table, where they felt safe.
The two claim that they were forced outside by security anyway, and were then randomly attacked by a group of strangers. Sainvilus said he was punched in the head a couple of times, and court documents claim that he was maced by security as he tried to escape the fight. Jordonne claims that he was kicked in the head and had to be airlifted to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The men are also saying that Omarion promised “tight security” on his posters for the concert, but he failed to live up to that promise.
Jordonne and Sainvilus are suing for unspecified damages.
Omarion recently gave his thoughts when choreographer Wade Robson accused Michael Jackson of molesting him at Neverland Ranch when he was a child. Robson had previously testified in Jackson’s 2005 molestation trial and denied that the late icon had abused him. Jackson’s former housekeeper, Blanca Francia, claimed she saw the two showering together when Robson was 8 or 9 years old.
Omarion called Robson’s claims “unbelievable” and questioned whether Robson was in financial trouble and was using the lawsuit to get money.
“Hee’s suing Mike? The person that’s dead? The legend? That’s messed up, man,” Omarion said. “I can’t believe it. I can’t believe he would sue a dead man. That’s unbelievable. I don’t like it. Maybe he’s in a position like he’s needing some extra change or something like that. I don’t know.”
What do you think of the lawsuit against Omarion? Should he have to pay up?
