‘Hot Dog Hooker’ Arrested In New York

Long Island’s so-called “hot dog hooker” was arrested for prostitution on Friday.

Nassau County Police said 47-year-old Cathy Scalia was taken into custody after she allegedly offered to perform a sexual act on an undercover police officer in exchange for money. She is also accused of performing a massage without license.

According to CBS Local, Scalia drove her hot dog vending truck to a hotel in Garden City on Friday. She allegedly performed a massage on the undercover cop before offering him perform a sex act for cash. Authorities said Scalia was immediately arrested without incident.

The “hot dog hooker” was officially charged with unauthorized practice and prostitution. She was reportedly arraigned on Saturday where she pleaded not guilty to both counts.

Scalia told reporters that the allegations against her are entirely false. If her story is to be believed, then someone keeps setting her up.

“They keep framing me. I am broke. I am jobless. All these arrests are entrapment,” she explained.

CNN reports that this isn’t the first time Scalia has had a brush with the law. During a chat with the website last year, the hot dog vending truck owner said she was a stripper and not a prostitute. Scalia was brought up on similar charges in 2012.

“I pleaded guilty to stripper. A stripper is not a prostitute,” she said at the time.

Although the “hot dog hooker” insists that she doesn’t perform sexual acts in exchange for money, she ultimately pleaded guilty to misdemeanor prostitution last year. In this instance, an undercover police officer received a lap dance at her home after taking one of her business cards from her vending truck.

She also told CBS 2 reporter Carolyn Gusoff about her future goals. According to Scalia, she intends to continue peddling hot dogs while wearing very little clothing.

“I’m finding one little spot in an industrial area. To the mothers and children out there, I will be selling the hot dogs in my bikini. To all the guys, I’m going to wiggle those wieners, we’re going to have a good time,” she said.
