Amanda Bynes Arrested, Hospitalized In Bong Tossing Out Window Incident [Video]

Amanda Bynes was arrested, briefly hospitalized, and then booked last night. We now have a video report of the hand-cuffed, fake blonde wig-wearing What I Like About You starlet being escorted by police in handcuffs and the wig in question after her arrest shortly before 8 pm EDT on Thursday night.

According to multiple reports, 27-year-old Amanda Bynes was arrested after a building official at her Manhattan, New York apartment sky-rise phoned in a complaint that she rolled and smoked a joint in the lobby.

By the time the police arrived, she was already in her 36th floor apartment. Although it was clouded with smoke, they could see her with the bong, which she then tossed out of the window right in front of the officers.

Bynes was then arrested for criminal possession of marijuana, reckless endangerment, and tampering with evidence.

Probably because the boldness of her actions suggested that she wasn’t thinking clearly, she was first brought to the Roosevelt Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation. She was then booked into a Midtown police station and is expected to appear in court sometime today.

Earlier this month, Amanda Bynes was sentenced to three years probation for driving with a suspended license. Even at the time, our reporter expressed some skepticism that she could last three years without another run-in with the police.

As it turned out, she didn’t even last three weeks.

Let’s hope she gets the help she needs. But so many of her problems seem to be of her own making that many people can’t help but shake their heads.
