Martin Aircraft Jetpack Gets Priced, Closer To Commercial Production
Are you ready to strap an engine onto your back and fly through the friendly skies? Personally I don’t want a bunch of stupid fliers hovering over America’s roads, but regardless the Martin Aircraft Jetpack is about to arrive and it finally has some pricing.
The cost? $86,000, which will buy you 30 minute flight times with a huge number of redundancy systems so hopefully you don’t kill yourself or the other people around, or more specifically below you.
The jetpack uses rotors built from carbon and Kevlar composites, a two-liter V4 two-stroke engine which can push out 200hp and an engine that takes regular gas, although we’d suggest a high octane fuel considering you’ll be flying…as in up in the air.
The Martin Jetpack is due out before the end of 2010. [GizMag]
