Woods, With Vonn At Side, Gets Wasted And Falls Down
Tiger Woods appeared with Lindsey Vonn in the couple’s red carpet debut at the Met Gala 2013 punk fashion celebration held Monday night at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art. Although they refused to be interviewed on the red carpet, and they didn’t seem to realize that the theme was Punk: From Chaos to Culture, they looked great together at the beginning of the evening.
The 28-year-old Olympic gold medal ski champion and her 37-year-old top golfer boyfriend were certainly a lot easier on the eyes than Kim Kardashian in her upholstered floral sofa look or Nicole Richie in her old ladyish grayish-white hair.
Considering that Tiger Woods has a date to appear at the Player’s championship on Thursday, where he will tee up against current Player’s titleholder Matt Kuchar and world no. 6 golfer Brandt Snedeker, he couldn’t have been blamed if he put in an appearance at the Met Gala 2013, pretended to enjoy the fashion scene, and then turned in early.
Instead, Woods and Vonn headed for an afterparty at the Boom Boom Room at the top of New York’s Standard Hotel.
According to Us Weekly, some of the other stars at the afterparty included Leonardo Dicaprio, Kate Upton, and Anne Hathaway.
An unnamed source told Us that Woods looked uncomfortable. They apparently mostly sat and snuggled together. When they tried to dance, Woods was apparently pretty sloppy and clumsy, even once grabbing for Vonn’s rear end. She just giggled.
They left around 2 AM but not without incident. The source said that Woods appeared intoxicated. He somehow managed to fall up a flight of stairs and just stayed there until Vonn had to help him up and guide him on his way.
Oops. Assuming the story is true and not just catty gossip, it was a klutzy end to what should have been a romantic evening for Tiger Woods with Lindsey Vonn.
