Farrah Abraham Making Horrible Choices, Dr. Drew Laments
Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham is making awful choices, Dr. Drew Pinsky says, and the Celebrity Rehab star explains that he would certainly have advised the young woman away from making and distributing a sex tape, had he had the chance.
Farrah Abraham’s Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom will hit the web tomorrow, but Dr. Drew says that the reality TV mom may not realize the consequences of her actions as a payday can be very distracting.
Pinsky discussed teen mom Farrah during a recent interview on the Zach Sang and the Gang radio show, and Dr. Drew says had he had the option, he’d have urged Abraham not to do the sex tape. (Which was originally framed as incidental but later revealed to be a professionally produced adult video.)
Pinsky said that Farrah Abraham is “making horrible, horrible choices,” adding:
“I have a relationship with her. I care about her. If she had called me for advice, I would have told her not to do this.”
Dr. Drew explains that the young woman is not currently being treated by him, but he still tried to get through to her:
“But she’s not my patient, she’s not my kid. I don’t produce that show, I didn’t cast her. I talked to her on a talk show — where I tried to talk some sense into her, mind you.”
Pinsky — who it was recently revealed will not be doing any more of the celebrity counseling he does on Celebrity Rehab — also said he has tried before to get in with the stars of the MTV show about teenage mothers:
“I throw the net out there once in a while … But I’m going to give them messages they don’t want to hear.”
Dr. Drew said the money offered might be too tempting to turn down for a young mom like Farrah, and explains:
“Let’s say she takes that $2 million and opens a restaurant, which has always been her dream — how are you going to talk a 21, 22-year-old out of that? … I just don’t know.”
Do you think Farrah Abraham will regret starring in an adult film?
