Anna Nicole Smith’s Daughter Attends Kentucky Derby
Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter has once again attended the Kentucky Derby.
Dannielynn Hope Marshall Birkhead was accompanied by her father Larry Birkhead at the annual event in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday.
In true derby fashion, Danielynn was spotted wearing a very elaborate outfit while posing for photographs. The six-year-old’s white gown looked similar to one worn by Anna Nicole Smith during her appearance at the Kentucky Derby in 2004. The late model’s daughter and her father were dressed like characters from the classic Disney film Mary Poppins.
Dannielynn and her father took a moment to take some pictures at the Grey Goose lounge at Churchill Downs. Many in attendance who spotted the little girl thought she was the spitting image of her late mother.
Although Larry’s daughter sported a gown with red trim and matching parasol and shoes, Birkhead was decked out in a multi-colored striped jacket and a straw hat. He also sported a blue bowtie. According to the Daily Mail, Danielynn’s dad strongly resembled comedian Dick Van Dyke from the family flick.
Larry tweeted prior to the Derby that his daughter really wanted to dress up as Mary for the event. In an effort to make that happen, Birkhead had the outfits designed specifically for the occasion. Judging from the pictures at Too Fab, the pair pulled off the look quite well.
Last year’s event in Louisville found Dannielynn sporting a floral dress complete with flowers in her hair. It would appear that attending the Kentucky Derby is an important family tradition.
Although Anna Nicole Smith chose to live her life in the public eye, Dannielynn has remained out of the spotlight most of her short life. She has been spotted at the Kentucky Derby and a Broadway show, but these appearances are few and far between. However, last year she started modeling for Guess Kids.
