Sarah Palin Brings Chewing Tobacco To NRA Speech [Video]
Sarah Palin threatened to start using chewing tobacco today in light of Mayor Bloomberg’s new initiative in New York City.
The former Vice Presidential candidate, who was speaking at an NRA convention in Houston today, told the crowd that in addition to drinking Big Gulps she’d start using chewing tobacco in protest of Bloomberg’s new laws.
Palin, who was wearing a “Women Hunt” t-shirt, riled the crowd up when she pulled a tin of tobacco from her pocket.
Palin said: “Now I see that the mayor of New York now wants to ban public displays of legal tobacco products… I tell ya… Don’t make me do it.”
Palin didn’t follow through on her chewing tobacco threat but her message was still well received. The former VP candidate received a standing ovation at the end of her speech.
Palin had a similar memorable moment earlier this year during her CPAC speech. The former VP candidate brought a Big Gulp with her on stage to mock Bloomberg’s health initiative.
In addition to using some chewing tobacco on stage, Palin also talked about gun laws and misinformation in the media. Palin also chastised politicians like President Obama for “exploiting” tragic events like the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
Palin said: “It’s the opposite of leadership. It’s the manipulation of the people by the politicians for their own political ends. It’s not just self-serving. It’s destructive and it must stop.”
