Lil Wayne Hospitalized Again For Seizures Late Tuesday Night
Lil Wayne’s been hospitalized once again for seizures late Tuesday night after the Hip-Hop superstar released he has a problem with epilepsy in mid-March. According to TMZ, the rapper was taken to Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles after suffering a single seizure and was released Wednesday morning.
Lil Wayne’s last trip to the hospital was at Cedars-Sinai as well and his newest setback makes for multiple seizures in a span of four weeks. The 30-year-old also suffered two seizures back in October and has since come out about his battle with epilepsy.
After spending six days in intensive care in March, Lil Wayne took to Power 106, a radio station in Los Angeles, to inform the world of the issue that he has dealt with since he was child. Ever since revealing his problem, the “best rapper alive” has received tons of support from his fans along with negative attention due to his living habits.
Lil Wayne’s lifestyle doesn’t suit an epileptic person in the slightest bit as he regularly deals with flashes and light shows during performances. Outside of on the job concerns, he’s also been known to enjoy the partly lifestyle and live up to his reputation.
It’s unknown what or if anything caused Lil Wayne to be hospitalized late Tuesday night but he has shed some light on the situation in the past. During his conversation with DJ Felli Fel on Power 106 in March, Lil Wayne made comments about the reasons behind his spurt of seizures in the recent past.
“Basically, I could’ve died soon. That’s why it was so serious,” Wayne said on air. “The reason being for the seizures is just plain stress, no rest and overworking myself. That’s typical me, though.”
It’s hard to tell if Lil Wayne’s career will be affected by his epilepsy, but seeing as to how he’s made it this far with the condition it doesn’t seem to be an issue. Partying like a rock star has it’s price, but Lil Wayne was going to deal with seizures whether he made it big or not.
Nevertheless, he has to be concerned by the frequency of seizures as of late though he posted to Twitter Wednesday that he is good to go.
I’m fine. Thank u
