Tebow Gets Offer From Omaha Beef Indoor Team
The offers are just rolling in for Tim Tebow. Of course, they aren’t exactly the offers that he’s looking for. Tebow has now been offered a spot on the Omaha Beef indoor football team roster.
The Omaha Beef offer comes shortly after Tebow received offers from the Lingerie Football League and the Canadian Football League. Tebow probably won’t consider playing in the LFL or the CFL but those leagues have a far better shot at landing the former Jets quarterback than the Omaha Beef.
Why? Well, the indoor team is only offering Tebow $75 a game. On top of that, a starting job on the Beefs isn’t even guaranteed.
Current quarterback James McNear said: “I think Tim can learn a lot from me.”
Beef assistant GM Andrew Mather said that he doesn’t expect to hear back.
If Tebow does, for some reason, decide to join the Beefs he’ll be joining a winning team. Current quarterback James McNear has thrown for 21 touchdowns to lead his team to a 5-1 start. Tebow may have a Heisman trophy on his shelf but he’s got to be a little jealous of that record.
Tebow helped bring the Denver Broncos to the playoffs in 2012 but he was traded at the end of the season to the New York Jets. Tebow didn’t get much of a chance in New York as he rode the bench for most of the season. Tebow is now officially a free agent and he’ll have to decide where he’ll be playing next.
Will it be the lingerie football league? The CFL? Will Tebow join the Omaha Beefs?
