Baseball Reporter Nearly Gets Beaned While Taking Instagram Selfies [Photo]
A baseball reporter working an assignment in Boston made a shocking discovery as she scrolled through a series of photos snapped at Fenway Park. One pic shows her literally inches away from being beaned in the head with an errant baseball.
Sun Sports Rays reporter Kelly Nash was in Boston working on an “Inside the Rays” feature when she decided to kill some time Saturday by taking pictures on top of Fenway Park’s Green Monster.
She later reviewed the photos and spotted one of herself smiling as a flying baseball nearly clubs her in the back of the head.
“I was taking a picture of myself in the seats above the Green Monster during Red Sox batting practice,” Nash explained to Fox Sports.
“My whole family is from Massachusetts, and I knew they would be so excited to see me working at Fenway Park, and when I went to text them the picture I noticed the baseball by my head!”
She took the near-miss in stride, and hinted that there may have been higher forces involved.
“I laughed pretty hard when I saw such a surreal picture that I had no idea I took. I thought, you have got to be kidding me, maybe there ARE really angels in the outfield. I actually brought the movie with me on the trip and had it in my bag at the game.”
That’s the theory that has been circulating among Nash’s Twitter folllowers, as well:
@meljparrish Probably because I had that DVD in my briefcase at the time;) Xo

Do you believe that there are angels in the outfield? Nash’s pic definitely makes a convincing argument.
