Paris Jackson Spends Her Birthday With Debbie Rowe
Paris Jackson celebrated her 15th birthday with Debbie Rowe.
Michael Jackson’s daughter was photographed with her mom for the first time since she was a baby. Rowe reportedly took her daughter shopping before grabbing a bite to eat at Ahi Sushi in Studio City.
Debbie Rowe was married to Michael Jackson between 1996 and 1999. The couple tied the knot in Sydney Australia. Rowe and Jackson had two children during their marriage: Paris Jackson was born on April 3, 1998 and her older brother Prince Michael Jackson Jr. came into the world on February 13, 1997.
Although Paris and her mom spent some time together to celebrate her 15th birthday, it’s unknown if the two will continue to develop their relationship. However, the picture Rowe shared with Entertainment Tonight appears to show the mother and her daughter having a wonderful time.
Rowe discussed her relationship with her child with Good Morning America back in 2003. She had previously received quite a bit of criticism for not staying in contact with Paris and Prince.
She told the morning chat show:
“Because you give birth, because you impregnate someone, that does not automatically give you that title of mother or father. You earn the title. My kids don’t call me mom because I don’t want them to. They’re Michael’s children. It’s not that they are not my children, but I had them because I wanted him to be a father. I believe there are people who should be parents and he’s one of them. And he is such a fabulous man and such a good friend and he’s always been there for me. Always, from the day I met him.”
