Madden 25 Cover Goes To Barry Sanders
Barry Sanders will be on the cover of Madden 25.
Electronic Arts and ESPN announced today that the Hall of Fame running back beat out Adrian Peterson with 58% of the final vote to land the cover of Madden NFL 25. Sanders will be the first athlete to appear on back to back EA Sports covers. He also appeared on the cover of NCAA Football 13 with Robert Griffin III.
Anthony Stevenson, Senior Director of Marketing for EA SPORTS, said:
“The Madden NFL franchise has such a rich tradition and history, and there’s no better way to celebrate our 25th Anniversary than by having one of the best players of all-time on the cover. Barry Sanders has long been a fan favorite, so we’re proud to have him as the face of Madden NFL 25.”
Adrian Peterson was disappointed to lose out on the Madden 25 cover but said that he was honored to lose out to someone like Barry Sanders.
Peterson wrote on Twitter: “Congrats to my guy Barry Sanders for winning the 2013 Madden Cover! Any other guy to take me down… it would’ve been a problem! Salute”
Sanders also took to Twitter to thank his fans, EA Sports, and ESPN for giving him the chance to appear on the new video game cover.
I would like to thank all the fans that voted in the EA Madden

The voter turn out in this program has been remarkable. And the fact that I won is pretty sweet, but very surprising and amazing. #Madden25
