‘LEGO Marvel Super Heroes’ Game Trailer Hits [Video]

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes just got its first game trailer.

Marvel super heroes have been in the movies for quite some time now, and due to technical legal issues, a lot of them will never be seen together on the big screen. However, you can now see them in blocky format all in one game. Wolverine can finally hang with Spider-Man and the Avengers.

A gathering like this hasn’t happened very often since the “Marvel Civil War” comics, but thanks to LEGO, it’s happening once again.

In the game trailer for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, Spider-Man swings in through a cloud of dust and small colored blocks as the narrator says, “There comes a time when the amazing, the mighty, and the uncanny must come together as one.” In the process, we see Thor holding his hammer up bristling with electric power, Wolverine slashing his way through the debris with that ever-present scowl of his, and Hulk roar in a massive cloud of green smoke. Iron Man flies through the smoky cloud as the group of Marvel super heroes gathers next to the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes logo and the smoke vanishes behind them all. Also in the group is Black Widow, Deadpool, and Captain America.

We hear loud booms like massive footsteps as everybody looks up in the wake of a large shadow. Iron Man lifts his visor after a few seconds of relative silence and says, “We’re gonna need a bigger team.”

This is where most Marvel comics fans’ imaginations come into play as we dream about the Fantastic Four, Jean Grey, and the Guardians of the Galaxy facing off against Magneto, Galactus, Venom and Dr. Doom. Marvel is promising more than 100 characters to appear in this game.

Some retailers such as Walmart, GameStop and Amazon are offering discounts for gamers who want to preorder LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. The game is being slated for a fall release for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Wii U, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation, Vita, and PC.
