Miss Delaware Teen Gets Probation: Melissa King Sentenced For Underage Alcohol Possession

Former Miss Delaware Teen USA Melissa King was given one year probation today for underage alcohol possession.

King, who resigned her beauty queen crown earlier this year after a porn video surfaced online, was cited for underage alcohol possession last August when she was pulled over in her father’s truck. Officers found an open bottle of rum in the car and charged King, 19, for possessing alcohol underage.

King plead guilty this morning and was sentenced to one year probation.

Her attorney Greg Hannigan said that King was responsible for the open bottle of rum since she was driving the car. He added that his client was “relieved” that the incident was now behind her.

According to Yahoo News, King was also charged for stealing money from a city bus. That charge was dropped this morning.

Reporters outside of the courthouse tried to ask King about the sex tape but the former beauty queen said that she would not be answering any “rude or invasive” questions.

King did say, however, that she plans to go to college this Fall. Hannigan did not provide the name of the school because he wants King to be a “normal” college student without media pressure.

Hannigan said: “So that she can be a normal freshman, we’re going to keep the name quiet.”

Melissa King is heading to college this Fall which probably means that she’s turned down the offer to become Miss YouPorn.
