Conan O’Brien Joins Twitter – 200,000+ Followers in 9 Hours

“I had a show. Then I had a different show. Now I have a Twitter account.” This is Conan O’Brien’s bio on Twitter. He joined Twitter Wednesday at 2.40 PM PST and now 9 hours later he has 216,177 followers. He hasn’t had time to follow anyone back. Stars doesn’t do that of course. Stars like one-way communication. But I like Conan O’Brien, so I can forgive him for not following me back…yet ?

Jay Leno has some 30,283 followers on Twitter. Let’s hope his new time slot will earn him some more followers. In my book he will always be known as “the one NBC liked better”.

When your only tweet is “Today I interviewed a squirrel in my backyard and then threw to commercial. Somebody help me” and you have 200,000+ followers you know you are a star.
