‘Breaking Bad’ Returns August 11
AMC’s Breaking Bad will return to TV for its final 8 episodes on August 11.
The network announced today that the second half of the final season will begin on Sunday, August 11, at 9 pm. AMC also announced that it will be airing a Breaking Bad talk show called Talking Bad.
AMC took a similar approach to The Walking Dead. The hit zombie show is followed by The Talking Dead, a talk show that dissects the night’s episode. Chris Hardwick hosts the Talking Dead. It’s unclear who will be hosting Talking Bad.
The Hollywood Reporter notes that the Breaking Bad talk show will air an hour after Breaking Bad. AMC will air its new crime series, Low Winter Sun, immediately after Breaking Bad.
The final 8 episodes will bring the story of Walter White to a close. The first half of the final season set-up a showdown between Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston, and DEA Agent Hank Schrader, played by Dean Norris.
The cast of Breaking Bad have promised a thrilling and satisfying conclusion to the Emmy-award winning show.
Here’s a video of creator Vince Gilligan, as well as some of the show’s stars, talking about the final episodes of Breaking Bad.
The final episodes of Breaking Bad will air this August but these may not be the final episodes from the fictional world of Walter White. AMC has reportedly been mulling over a spin-off involving Saul Goodman.
