Harvey Weinstein, Georgina Chapman Welcome Baby Boy
Congrats are in order for Hollywood film producer Harvey Weinstein and his fashion designer wife Georgina Chapman who added a baby boy to their family last week.
Us Weekly reported the happy news on Monday, as the couple’s rep confirmed that Chapman, a co-founder of fashion house Marchesa and a Project Runway: All Stars judge, gave birth to the child on Thursday, April 11.
No word yet on the little guy’s name or weight.
“Georgina and son are doing extremely well,” a source told New York Post’s Page Six.
The couple, who started dating in December 2004 and married three years later, are already parents to daughter India Pearl, 2.
Weinstein, 61, also has three daughters — Emma, Lily and Ruth — from his previous marriage to Eve Chilton.
Chapman, 37, announced her pregnancy in December.
“Harvey and I are both over the moon,” she said at that time, adding that she planned to remain active throughout the pregnancy in order to keep her trim and slim figure.
“I do yoga, and I walk a lot,” Georgina said. “I don’t go crazy.”
Weinstein added that he and his wife didn’t know the baby’s sex, and he said he would be happy to have a son or a daughter.
“It could be Harvey and five daughters. I’d be happy either way,” he said in December. “After four girls, I don’t care if it’s a boy or a girl. It makes no difference to me.”
Two months after announcing their pregnancy, Georgina showed off her baby bump at the Academy Awards, when she walked the red carpet wearing a beautiful long ivory gown.
Chapman attended the event with her husband, who produced the best picture nominee Silver Linings Playbook.
Harvey Weinstein, best known as the co-founder of Miramax Films, is also responsible for producing hit movies such as The King’s Speech, Good Will Hunting, The Lord of the Rings and, most recently, Django Unchained.
