Kevin Hart Arrested For DUI

Actor Kevin Hart has been arrested on suspicion of DUI. The arrest went down during the early Sunday morning hours.

According to police, Kevin Hart nearly smashed into the side of a gas tanker while he sped down a California freeway.

Hart was spotted by a California Highway Patrol officer as he drove his black Mercedes down the 101 Freeway at around 4:30 am PT.

According to the officer, Hart was “driving erratic” while “going 90 MPH.”

The CHP claims Hart was showing “objective signs of intoxication” and was “unable to perform field sobriety tests.”

Kevin Hart was booked for a misdemeanor DUI around 6:00 am PT.

Hart is currently being held on $5,000 bond.

We report on a lot of celebrity arrests at The Inquisitr, but it is not very often that the DUI involves a gas tanker and speeding in a Mercedes.

It looks like Kevin Hart may have been blowing off a little too much steam. The actor has two recently completed films under his belt, four movies in post production, and two more in pre-production. Even if he isn’t the star of all those movies, that’s a lot of Hollywood stress. Regardless, there is no excuse for nearly blowing up a gas tanker with drunken driving antics.

UPDATE: Kevin Hart admitted to TMZ on Sunday afternoon that he was in fact drunk when police pulled him over. Since he was not under oath, Kevin Hart still plans to plead not guilty to the DUI charge. Hart also called rumors of a second charge false.
