The Google Play Store version 4.0 will soon be released for Google Android users and a first image of the store’s new interface has leaked online.
While much is still to be determined, the leaked photograph spotted by Droid Life does show several notable changes, namely a simplified user experience via the Google Play front page. Google has also tweaked the Holo theme for the Google Play store.

As a Google Play user, I’m happy to see that Google has replaced its heavy grey interface with a lighter-theme that more closely resembles current Google platform output.
The new Google Play 4.0 store also features moved content categories at the top of the page while the top bar features a pixelated gradient in the background.
While not shown via the image, Google is believed to have simplified various parts of the Play Store’s navigation and settings, making it easier for users to access Google Play store features.
Google has not yet announced when it will release version 4.0 of the Play Store. With that being said, the highly polished look of the leaked screenshot likely means the interface is close to completion.
