Lena Dunham Posts Image Of Her Kissing ‘Girls’ Co-Star On Twitter
Lena Dunham has uploaded an image of her kissing her Girls co-star, Jemima Kirke, via her Instagram account.
The 26-year-old was out cavorting with Kirke, who is one of her dearest friends, when she decided to share her love for the actress to her followers.
Dunham then captioned the picture with, “Jemima 4eva,” declaring her adulation for the woman who has starred in most of her projects, including 2010’s Tiny Furniture which helped to launch the writer and director’s career.
Jemima, who is married to Michael Mosbery, with whom she has two children, recently stated that she finds some of the scenes she film for the show cringeworthy.
“Sometimes it’s a little … [Groans.] I cringe. Because I’m like, I really don’t want to have to put that on camera,” Kirke told Vulture magazine.
The actress was particularly peeved when she had to paint her then-husband, Thomas-John, played by Chris O’Dowd.
“I was a little p***** at that moment, when I saw that painting as a prop. I was like, Lena. Come on. It’s just a little close to home. And only because I have been vocal about the fact that I make artwork, so I don’t want this to be seen as mine. Not that there was anything wrong with it, it just wasn’t me.”
Meanwhile, Dunham has revealed that there will be several changes to the production of Girls for its third season, as three of the show’s Los Angeles-based writers won’t be returning.
Dunham has decided to move the writers’ room to NYC, where Girls is actually filmed, and Lesley Arfin, Deborah Schoeneman, and Steve Rubinshteyn, aren’t able to make the trek across country.
It’s been stated though that the split was entirely amicable, whilst Dunham’s parent Laurie Simmons and Carroll Dunham will also occasionally assist with the writing efforts too.
