‘Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ Trailer Will Debut At MTV Movie Awards
Just in case you needed a reason to watch the MTV Movie Awards this year, it’ll be your first chance to see the trailer for the highly-anticipated follow-up to 2012’s The Hunger Games, Catching Fire.
The 2013 MTV Movie Awards hosted by Rebel Wilson will debut the very first Catching Fire trailer at some point during the April 14 program. It’ll definitely make its way online either that night or later the next day, but the only way you’re going to see it first is by tuning in at 9pm ET/8pm CT.
As you can see from the promo embedded below, Katniss and Peeta are on their Victory Tour after emerging from the 74th annual Hunger Games as dual champions.
Here’s the synopsis:
Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson). Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow (Donald Sutherland) prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.
The highly-anticipated sequel will be released in the United States on November 22, 2013. After Catching Fire, a two-part adaptation of the third novel in the series, Mockingjay, will release on November 21, 2014and November 20, 2015 respectively.
