Emma Watson GQ Cover Borrows ‘Pretty Woman’ Outfit

Emma Watson appears on GQ magazine’s latest cover, and she doesn’t look anything like herself or her famous Harry Potter character.

Watson poses on the cover of GQ as her character from The Bling Ring, but OMG! notes that Watson’s outfit looks like it came straight off of Julia Roberts’ back from the movie Pretty Woman.

Regardless of the outfit’s inspiration, Emma Watson has clearly moved beyond the innocent image she created with The Harry Potter movies. In her latest movie, The Bling Ring, Watson plays a character that drinks, smokes, and steals.

Watson said: “The character is everything that I felt strongly against — she’s superficial, materialistic, vain, amoral. She’s all of these things and I realised that I hated her. How do you play someone you hate? But I found it really interesting and it gave me a whole new insight into what my job or my role as an actress could be.”

Watson may have not been too fond of her character, but she did appreciate the role. The actress is known by millions as the innocent Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter movies, and Watson said that she was working hard to step away from that image.

Watson said: “This has been a really big departure for me. It’s a really big character. That’s so exciting for me because it meant I was really acting.”
