Ivanka Trump: The Donald Doesn’t Do Diapers

Ivanka Trump said today that her father, Donald Trump, is a loving and caring grandfather. There’s just one thing that he won’t do: diapers.

Ivanka, who is on the cover of Redbook this month, said that Donald has never changed one of her daughter’s diapers. But that doesn’t mean that Donald is a bad grandpa. Ivanka says that Donald plays with 2-year-old Arabella Rose out all of the time.

Ivanka said: “Oh he takes her all the time — but with me … He wouldn’t know what to do if she was crying or needed a diaper change. Although I think he’d figure it out. He was always a great father in that he was always there. Now that my brothers and I work with him, we’ve become even closer. If we talked a lot before, we speak 50 times a day now. I spend half the time in his office. It’s wild.”

Like her father, Ivanka will be busy with her own career while raising Arabella. Ivanka said that it’s important to her to stay focused on her career but added that it breaks her heart to leave Arabella in the morning.

Ivanka said: “Oh, every morning I’m so sad to leave Arabella. But it’s important for me to continue what I’m doing. It’s fulfilling to me, and I think it makes me a better mom when I’m home. And incidentally, I hate the expression ‘working mom,’ because when I’m with Arabella on the weekends, I’m much more exhausted on Monday morning than I am on Friday night!”

The Daily Mail reports that Arabella isn’t the only grandchild that Donald has to worry about. His son, Donald Jr., has four kids of his own. There’s been no word yet on if Donald changed any of their diapers.
