Josh And Anna Duggar Expecting Second Son
Eldest Duggar child Josh and his wife Anna are expecting a second son with the upcoming birth of their third child.
Josh and Anna Duggar already have a 3-year-old daughter named Mackynzie Renee and a 21-month-old son named Michael James. The two found out they were expecting for the third time while taping the 11th season of 19 Kids and Counting, which premieres Tuesday, April 2 on TLC.
“We didn’t know the results,” 25-year-old Josh Duggar told People. “But we gave them [from the doctor] to the sound guy, Jim, and he planned out this very unique reveal. It caught us off guard in a time and place we least expected.” The couple’s big pregnancy reveal will be featured on the season premiere.
Like Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar, Josh and Anna have said that they plan to have as many children as “God gives us.”
“Oh yeah, we have this all figured out,” Josh Duggar said. “No. The most seasoned parents will confess their inadequacy. Each child is so unique and so different. It is just amazing.”
Anna Duggar, 24, added that she was thankful for each of their children.
“It is not about having a bunch of babies,” she said. “It is about enjoying each child God has given you and focus on every day that you get with your child.”
The Duggar family has been living in the public eye for a couple of years now. They originally appeared in several one-hour specials on TLC and Discovery Health, which mainly focused on Michelle Duggar’s last five deliveries. The family then got their own reality series, called 17 Kids and Counting, in 2008.
In December 2008, Michelle Duggar gave birth to baby #18, a girl named Jordyn-Grace Makiya, by C-section. Almost exactly a year later, she gave birth to baby #19, another girl named Josie Brooklyn, via emergency C-section. Michelle Duggar became pregnant again in 2011 but suffered a miscarriage in December. The baby was another girl, whom the couple named Jubilee Shalom.
Josh and Anna Duggar’s second son is due June 7.
