Bieber Battery Investigation: Sheriff To Recommend Prosecution
Justin Bieber could soon be facing charges for spitting on one of his neighbors.
The L.A. County Sheriff’s Department is finishing up its investigation into the case and will soon hand over their review to the L.A. County District Attorney. According to TMZ, the Sheriff’s Department is expected to recommend that the the singer be charged with criminal battery.
The Sheriff’s Department hasn’t officially said that they will recommend prosecution because the investigation isn’t quite complete. A source familiar with the situation, however, said that police believe that Bieber could be heading down a dangerous path.
In addition to the spitting incident, authorities are expected to recommend charges based on the singer’s recent history. Earlier this year Bieber got into a physical altercation with a member of the Paparazzi and the singer has also recently been accused of drug use.
Several of Bieber’s fans are worried that the singer is in the middle of a meltdown and it looks like police may believe the same thing.
Beiber’s mother also commented on the singer’s recent behavior saying that she wishes she could still treat him like her little baby.
Bieber’s mother said: “I think him being 19, you know, I just gotta let go a little and let him make some of his own decisions. I’m sure you can appreciate as a mom how I feel when I read some of these stories. I come at it from a different angle … He’s growing up. He’s 19. I mean, he’s not my baby. I want to be able to take away free will sometimes and be able to do everything for him, but …”
