Reid Flair Dead: Rick Flair’s Son Passes Away At 25
Rick Flair’s son, Reid Flair, passed away today at the age of 25.
The news was confirmed by PWInsider but details about Reid Flair’s death are scarce.
According to reporter Mike Johnson, Reid has been working with All Japan Pro Wrestling but recently returned home to the United States. The 24-year-old wrestler was found dead this morning at a hotel in Charlotte, North Carolina.
An official statement from Ric Flair’s agent, Melinda Morris Zanoni of Legacy Talent and Entertainment, posted on Rick Flair’s Facebook page reads: “We are heartbroken to confirm that Ric’s son, Reid Fliehr, has passed away today March 29, 2013 in Charlotte, NC. The investigation into the cause of death is ongoing. Reid was 25 and an incredible son, brother, friend, and professional wrestler. No words can describe the grief that Ric and his family are experiencing and they do request privacy during this devastating time.”
Rick Flair is one of the most well-known wrestlers to step into the WWE ring. Reid was following in his father’s footsteps and was starting to make a name for himself.
According to Heavy.com, Reid had been wrestling in Japan but was getting ready to make a couple of appearances in the states. Reid was scheduled to appear alongside his dead at an event in Maryland this weekend and there were rumors that Reid would soon be joining the WWE.
