Lohan’s Triangles Tattoo Represents ‘Deep Spiritual Bond’

Did you see Lindsay Lohan’s new triangles tattoo? The actress revealed her new ink during a recent court date, and the gossip world has been dying to know what the symbol means to the Anger Management actress.

Lohan’s tattoo is of two red triangles above the words “what dreams may come.” The quote had some people worrying about Lohan’s mental health.

The words “what dreams may come” come from a speech in Shakespear’s play Hamlet when the character is pondering suicide.

Here’s the full quote:

“To be, or not to be: that is the question:
Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep;
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to, ’tis a consummation D
evoutly to be wish’d. To die, to sleep;
To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there’s the rub;
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come”

Thankfully, that doesn’t appear to be the meaning behind Lohan’s triangles tattoo.

According to the NY Post, Lohan got the tattoo with her close friend Liam McMuallan and the ink symbolizes a “deep spiritual bond.” (You can see a photo of the tattoo here.)

A source said that the ink represents their hearts and souls and encourages them to “follow their dreams.”

A source said: “Liam and Lindsay got matching tattoos in a private, secret, spiritual ceremony … The triangles represent danger and hazards, and the two spiritual energies inside each other. It represents their souls and hearts, and the dangers out there, and that they must follow their dreams.”

Of course, this isn’t the first time that Lohan has gotten a tattoo. The actress got some Billy Joel lyrics, “Clear as a crystal, sharp as a knife I feel like I’m in the prime of my life,” inked on her side last year.
