Jennifer Lawrence’s Security Team Removes Intruder Who Entered Her Home Unannounced

Jennifer Lawrence got way more than she expected this weekend when a woman walked right into her Los Angeles home on Sunday night.

According to TMZ, law enforcement confirmed that a 23-year-old female intruder entered into J.Law’s home around 9:15pm local time on March 15. But the woman didn’t have to break through a window or kick in the door to gain access to the star. Instead, she sauntered in the front door, which wasn’t locked despite the late hour.

Reportedly, she was interested in meeting the Hunger Games actress, so she decided to let herself in.

Jennifer was home when the break-in happened, although the news outlet doesn’t say whether she interacted with the intruder at all. They do state that her security team was also present and was able to stop the woman before anything else could happen. TMZ had no word on whether the star’s new husband Cooke Maroney was home at the time.

Jennifer had the woman restrained – at least temporarily – by their security team, who detained the intruder and called the police. The woman was later arrested for misdemeanor trespassing.

E! News spoke with the Los Angeles Police Department, who confirmed the news, and who added that Cooke was in fact at home when the intrusion took place.

“They restrained the suspect,” a source said.

However, the source that spoke to E! News says that the report that the intruder was interested in meeting the actress is false.

“The girl didn’t want to meet Jen,” the insider claimed.

Jennifer and her husband live in a 5,500 square foot home in Beverly Hills, which she purchased for $7 million. The house was previously owned by Jessica Simpson, Ellen Degeneres, Paul Hogan, and Rick Yorn.

As The Inquisitr previously reported, Jennifer married Cooke on October 19, after getting engaged in February. They wed in the Belcourt Mansion in Rhode Island and stayed at the luxurious Hotel Viking in Newport to prep for her walk down the aisle. The event was so lavish that the actresses’ wedding gown got a room of its own in the hotel.

Jennifer fell in love with the Dior dress and it was apparently so important that a team from the high-end fashion house stayed in the room with the gown.

While the bride’s attire was extravagant, the guest list was subdued, with just 150 people in attendance, including Kris Jenner, Amy Schumer, Adele, Emma Stone, Sienna Miller, and Ashely Olsen. Guests were served from a food truck waiting outside the venue.
