‘General Hospital’ Fans React To Maxie Standing By Peter And Blasting Spinelli
After more scheming last week on General Hospital, Peter seems to have been escaped detection for his crimes once again and Maxie is all-in on what he’s orchestrated. By the looks of things, fans aren’t very happy about how this storyline is progressing. Many viewers feel that Maxie is being written in a way that is not true to her nature, making her seem far more oblivious and naive than should be the case with this core General Hospital character.
Maxie was beside herself to learn that Obrecht was allegedly responsible for Drew’s death and the attack on Franco and Andre. Soon, Spinelli approached Maxie, wanting to talk alone without Peter. However, she insisted that the conversation take place in front of her beau.
Spinelli and Maxie have a long history with one another and viewers feel that she is ignoring what she knows about how he feels and operates. Rather than fully consider what Spinelli was trying to tell her, Maxie defended Peter. She even went so far as to say she planned to spend the rest of her life with Peter, pushing Spinelli away.
Though viewer frustration has been building for a while with this storyline, it looks like General Hospital fans are especially annoyed by how Maxie is being written right now. People want the Maxie they know and love back and many of them want Peter gone.
“Maxie used to be witty and spunky. Now, I don’t even think a fuse could light a fire under her stupid a**,” shared one frustrated General Hospital fan on Twitter after watching Monday’s show.
Spinelli is determined to put Peter behind bars and away from Maxie. Does he have enough evidence to convince her he's a killer?

“Okay where are my Anna and Maxie?! Like the real Anna and Maxie would know that they are being played?!” tweeted another viewer.
“Peter seriously gives me the heebie jeebies everytime he’s on. Maxie & Anna are looking like gullible airheads. Why destroy 2 strong, intelligent women for a creepy dirtbag?” wrote another General Hospital supporter on Twitter.
Maxie may be intent on ignoring what she is hearing from Spinelli about Peter, but it’s surely only a matter of time before she has no choice but to face this. Fans just hope that there is a real payoff on the way for viewers in return for suffering through Maxie’s blind allegiance to Peter for all these months.
General Hospital spoilers from SheKnows Soaps hint that the tension will remain high between Anna and Jason next week. Given that teaser, it sounds as if Maxie will remain in the dark for now about Peter’s antics, even though fans are quite unhappy about it.
