Charlize Theron Rumored For Oscar Pistorius Biopic

The rumors are spreading about possible actors being considered for the Oscar Pistorius biopic. Earlier we reported Ryan Gosling is in the lead to take on the role of the South African Olympic runner who has been accused of killing his 29-year-old girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. Now it looks like Charlize Theron is being eyed for the role of Steenkamp.

Although we don’t have the outcome on the Oscar Pistorius case, it looks like a film is already in the works. Reports have said that an unknown studio is currently developing two potential scripts. Our guess is that they will be finished after the trial’s outcome which may take years.

As we already reported, Ryan Gosling is in the running for the Pistorius role. It isn’t completely unbelievable as Gosling’s career is red hot right now with The Place Beyond The Pines receiving rave reviews. In addition the actor kind of looks like him amputee runner.

The fact that someone is considering Charlize Theron for the slain girlfriend isn’t too hard to believe either. Steenkamp was a South African model, and Theron has the looks, and it also helps that she’s also from South Africa. This bit of news comes right after we announced the bevy of projects Theron has her hands in for the next few years.

While Ryan Gosling and Charlize Theron may be a dream choice for any studio for the Pistorius project, the two actors may not even work out. Theron will be juggling a lot with four titles in production, and Gosling revealed that he’s getting a little sick of himself, and may retire from acting for a bit. His next project won’t even be in front of the camera, as he’ll take the director’s chair for the first time with his film How to Catch a Monster.
