Cher Selling House For $45 Million, May Move To London
Pamela Anderson isn’t the only one moving out of Malibu. Cher is selling her house and rumors are circulating that the singer may be moving to London.
According to the Daily Mail, Cher is trying to sell her Malibu mansion for $45 million. The London rumors started because the singer is also trying to sell two of her other California homes, a $5.5 million condo in Hollywood and a $1.8 million beach house in Venice.
A source said: “Right now, Cher has every property she owns on the market. The big rumor is that she’s moving to London while she finds a new LA home.”
But don’t worry, Cher probably won’t be moving anytime soon. The singer has tried to sell her Malibu mansion several times in the past but has never found a buyer.
She first listed it in 2008 but then took it off the market to do some interior designs.
Martyn Lawrence-Bullard, who helped redesign the home, said at the time: “Cher loves all things that are Eastern—Moroccan, Syrian-inlaid furniture, Indonesian pieces, beautiful 17th-and 18th-century Chinese things. Everything has to feel very Zen, but it also has to have that bit of Cher pizzazz.”
The house has been on and off the market since then. In 2010, Cher said that she frequently changed her mind about selling the place.
Chere said: “There’s no view like it in all of Malibu. It’s one of the reasons I don’t sell this place. It’s so big for me, but it’s unbelievable.”
The house is pretty unbelievable. The 13,000 square foot home sits on a 1.7 acre bluff above Malibu and has its own theater, gym, pool, guest house and tennis court.
