‘Infinite Crisis’ MOBA Featuring DC Universe Announced [Video]

Infinite Crisis , an multiplayer online battle arena game featuring the DC Universe and playable on the PC has been announced by Warner Bros.

The announcement came as the Game Developers Conference kicked off this morning and serves as the first really big news of the week.

This also seems to mark the second big game that will be coming to the market in the next couple of months. Injustice: Gods Among Us is due out relatively soon and features several of the DC Universe’s characters.

The biggest difference between Injustice and this particular title is that Gods Among Us features just one stream of the entire DC Universe.

Infinite Crisis will feature different versions of well known heroes from all over the multiverse. While there will be heroes like Flash and Green Lantern (who were specifically mentioned in the press release) there will also be Nightmare Batman and Gaslight Catwoman.

Turbine, the team who was behind the Lord of the Rings Online game is putting this title together. Jeffrey Steefel , Executive Producer, for Turbine talked about what his team brings to the table.

“We are utilizing years of experience in the online game space to deliver innovations to the MOBA genre.”

Warner Bros. is offering a free closed Beta that will allow potential gamers to get a look at this new title long before it is officially released. In order to sign up for the closed beta you simply need to go to the official website for the game.

In addition to the press release, Warner Bros. and Turbine have put out an official launch trailer which gives you a chance to get a first hand look at some of the characters that will be in the game.

You will also be able to see how those characters are going to interact when it comes to the actual MOBA format.
