Joseph Gordon-Levitt Leads Chris Hardwick’s ‘The Nerdist’ Guest List
Talk show host, stand-up comedian, and all-around Renaissance Man Chris Hardwick is coming back to Saturday nights with new episodes of his variety show The Nerdist, with an impressive list of guests to occupy the new season.
BBC America announced that Hardwick’s show will return for 10 new episodes, with a confirmed guest list including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Dominic Monaghan, Elijah Wood, Matt Smith, Katee Sackhoff, Tatiana Maslany, Michael Rooker, Guillermo Del Toro, Gillian Jacobs, Robert Kirkman, Buzz Aldrin, Karen Gillan, Bobak Ferdowski, Jenna-Louise Coleman, and more.
The new order will also include stand-up performances by Ron Funches, Rob Hubel, Kyle Kinane, Matt Kirshen, Natasha Leggero, Paul Scheer, and more.
The Nerdist is based on Hardwick’s podcast of the same name and is more or less a comedy/pop culture/variety program covering a broad base of topics. Pretty much anything that can be considered “nerdy” finds its way into the program sooner or later.
Hardwick will be joined by Matt Mira and Jonah Ray for the new episodes, which start on Saturday, March 30 as part of “Supernatural Saturday.”
A look at what’s to come: Hardwick will be chatting with actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt about his online project hitRECord, and his love of Dungeons and Dragons. Matt Smith of Doctor Who fame will also be on to talk about the show’s 50th anniversary. The Walking Dead‘s Michael Rooker and creator Robert Kirkman will appear to play a game in which they guess the value of geek collectibles.
Hardwick also hosts Talking Dead, a companion talk show for AMC’s zombie apocalypse hit The Walking Dead.
The Nerdist begins airing new episodes on BBC American on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 10 pm ET. If you’ve never watched the show, you can check out a clip from a previous episode below:
