Tiger Woods, Lindsey Vonn Relationship Is A PR Stunt [Rumor]
Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn recently announced that they were dating with a series of professional photographs. Woods said that he decided to go public in order to stop the paparazzi from chasing him around but there’s also another theory floating around: It’s all a PR stunt.
The most “damaging evidence” that Vonn’s relationship with Woods is a PR move is the photograph that accompanied their announcement. Vonn and Tiger made their announcement on Facebook but quickly had a series of professional photographs published in People Magazine.
For some, it was a little too perfect.
A source told the NY Post: “It is a match made in marketing heaven. It immediately makes him more sympathetic, and makes Vonn a household name as she reaches a crucial point in her skiing career, the 2014 Winter Olympics. They know the sponsors are watching.”
The relationship definitely provides Tiger and Vonn with some added benefits but that doesn’t mean that the entire thing is a fake. After all, the courtship between Woods and Vonn has been going on for nearly a year. Do you think that Woods and Vonn are romantically involved? Or, you know, just business partners.
If it’s not a PR stunt, then why did Tiger and Vonn decide to go public?
Tiger said last week: “We’re happy with where we’re at, and we also wanted to limit the stalk-a-razzi and all those sleazy Web sites that are out there following us.”
Do you think the relationship is genuine. When they made the announcement, Tiger wrote on Facebook: “Lindsey and I have been friends for some time, but over the last few months we have become very close and are now dating. We thank you for your support and for respecting our privacy. We want to continue our relationship, privately, as an ordinary couple and continue to compete as athletes.”
