Katy Perry And John Mayer Split Up Again

John Mayer and Katy Perry have reportedly split up for the second time.

The couple originally decided to end their relationship back in August, but they then reconciled just a month later. However, this time they have allegedly decided to call time on their courtship once again.

Several sources have confirmed the break-up, with an insider even stating “it’s sad” whilst hinting that the duo might decide to reconvene again further down the line.

“It’s not over until it’s over. You have to see how things play out,” added the insider. Another source then claimed, “She’s leaving the window open. They have both been so focused on work.”

It’s unsurprising to hear that the pair have parted ways though as Mayer is currently hard at work preparing for his tour that will start this month whilst Perry is recording her third studio album.

Earlier this month, they were seen together, enjoying a hike with Girls star Allison Williams and her boyfriend, who is a close friend of Mayer, in Hollywood.

Perry even tweeted about Mayer on March 2, stating, “My boyfriend is taking me to a kitten shelter in his truck. I can’t think of a more perfect Saturday.”

Whilst Mayer told CBS in February, “For the first time in my life I don’t feel like I’m in a celebrity relationship. I really don’t. I’m not in a high profile – I know it’s high profile. Doesn’t feel that way to me. And great! I’m glad … For me, it feels like something that’s very human.”

News of the split comes a day after Russell Brand was caught making fun of his short marriage to Perry on an English radio show, remarking, “Let me tell you a thing about marriage. Marriage is a bond that can last up to 14 months.”

Noel Gallagher, the former guitarist for Oasis, and comedian Matt Morgan each made jokes about their 14-month marriages too.
