Lisa Rinna Talks Lip Trouble On ‘Today’ [Video]

You know Lisa Rinna? The one with the lips? The famous actress sat in for Kathie Lee Gifford on Today and talked to Hoda Kotb about some lip trouble she experienced a few years ago.

Rinna’s famous pucker may be her most recognizable feature but the actress has also had some trouble with her lips.

The actress told Kotb today that she first got lip injections when she was about 24-years-old. She kept doing it throughout her career (because she became famous for having full lips) but eventually the silicone started to turn her lips hard. She ended up getting them reduced in order to get a more natural look.

Rinna said: “Here’s the story: 25 years ago, I had my lips injected with silicone. Stupid thing to do at 24. I saw ‘Beaches.’ Remember that movie ‘Beaches’? I did it with my best girlfriend, so she and I go and we get our lips done. Fine. I have it like that for my whole career, right? So then cut to a couple of years ago, I have a doctor remove as much as they possibly can because it got to the point where they were yucky. You know, they get hard. It’s gross. They are now whatever that was after they took out as much of the silicone as they could.”

Of course, it hasn’t been all lip trouble for Lisa Rinna. The actress did give some credit to her famous pucker for allowing her to have a successful 25-year career.

Rinna said: “I never had a career before I had the lips. So my lips have had their own career.”

This isn’t the first time that Lisa Rinna has talked about her lip trouble. After she had the injections removed, she opened up to Pop Eater about body image and plastic surgery.

Rinna said: “I want young women to learn to love themselves. You don’t need to change anything especially your lips.”

Rinna, who is a mother to two girls, said that she doesn’t like her daughters looking at pictures of models because it gives them unrealistic expectations.

Rinna said: “I remove the cover of magazines when girls who have had too much plastic surgery are on them. That’s the last thing my girls need to see. All these young Hollywood actresses need to stop trying to be the next Angelina Jolie and learn to love themselves.”

Rinna said: “Trust me, now that I have removed the silicone from my lips, I feel sexier and Harry loves them. It makes kissing and something else much easier.”
