Keyshia Slams Beyonce On Twitter Over New Song
Keyshia Cole has slammed Beyonce on Twitter over the singer’s new single.
Cole has taken issue with some of the lyrics in Beyonce’s new tune “Bow Down / I Been On.” Since Keyshia has a problem with the song, she decided to express her feelings on Twitter.
“Can’t stand when people all self righteous when it’s convenient it makes them look good,” she said of the new tune. “But can still talk s*** when convenient 2 FOH.”
“First ‘Women need to Stick together’ now b*****s better Bow. Smh. But it’s all G! Chicks stay shooting the s***,” she continued.
Although most fans seem to enjoy Beyonce’s latest endeavor, some people have reportedly taken issue with some of the lyrics contained in the song. At one point during the tune, the singer proclaims, “This is my s***, bow down, b****.”
This isn’t the first time Keyshia Cole has slammed a member of Destiny’s Child. The singer-songwriter recently took issue with Michelle Williams during her performance at the Super Bowl halftime show last month.
Regardless of Keyshia’s comments, fans seems to think “Bow Down / I Been On” is one of the singer’s best efforts to-date.
“I feel so bad for every other artist in the game. There is no competition. She reigns supreme,” one enthusiastic fan wrote on Twitter shortly after the song’s unveiling.
Beyonce discussed her forthcoming album with the folks at GQ magazine last year.
“I’ve been working with Pharrell and Timbaland and Justin Timberlake and Dream. We all started in the ’90s, when R&B was the most important genre, and we all kind of want that back: the feeling that music gave us,” the singer explained.
She also touched on what fans can expect from the album when it finally drops.
“Mostly R&B. I always have my Prince and rock-soul influences. There’s a bit of D’Angelo, some 60s doo-wop. And Aretha and Diana Ross,” Beyonce explained.
