‘Kick-Ass 2’ Trailer Released

The trailer for Kick-Ass 2 has been released.

Universal Pictures has released the Red Band trailer for Kick-Ass 2. The film will be directed by Jeff Wadlow, and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloë Grace Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, John Leguizamo, and Jim Carrey. Jim Carrey is almost unrecognizable in this film due to his outfit and accent.

The original Kick-Ass featured Dave, a guy who tries to make a difference dressing up in a wet-suit and fighting crime. He teamed up with Hit Girl and Big Daddy to take down a major crime boss, and the crime boss’ son, who went by the name Red Mist, vowed revenge for his father’s death.

In Kick-Ass 2, our hero’s bravery inspires a new wave of masked vigilantes led by Colonel Stars and Stripes. Kick-Ass joins them as Red Mist, who now goes by The Mother F***er, hunts them down. Hit Girl is busted for sneaking out and retires back to her normal life as Mindy.

The trailer starts with Mindy opening a door to find Dave in a room full of weapons. She says, “Ready to go again?”

Dave asks, “What do you want me to do?” Mindy tells him to hit her.

Dave replies, “You’re a 15-year-old…” and Mindy slaps him in mid-sentence.

Mindy comments, “Act like a b***h, you get socked like a b***h.”

Then we see the two start busting out some hand-to-hand combat, and much like in the original Kick-Ass, Dave gets his ass kicked. He mutters in pain as Mindy tells him, “Oh take your tampon out, Dave.”

We then see a camera pan of the city as a newscaster says, “They may wear costumes, but it isn’t Halloween. They’re real-life superheroes.”

Dave goes into a monologue, “Me and Hit Girl? We were training every day. There were more and more people joining us every night.”

We then see Jim Carrey as “Colonel Stars and Stripes, reporting for duty.”
