Pat Robertson quick to exploit Haitian tragedy, said they had it coming

Professional bag of douche religious leader Pat Robertson has spoken out about the earthquake in Haiti and massive amount of death and destruction, calling the widespread suffering “a blessing in disguise” and basically blaming the people of Haiti for their plight.

Robertson claims that the “people of Haiti” made a pact with Satan to free themselves from French rule, and that while that plan worked, they’ve been cursed with poverty and natural disasters ever since:

And, you know, Kristi, something happened a long time ago in Haiti, and people might not want to talk about it. They were under the heel of the French. You know, Napoleon III and whatever. And they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, “We will serve you if you will get us free from the French.” True story. And so, the devil said, “OK, it’s a deal.”

You may say, no- that’s not possible- no one could possible be that massive a dick. But seriously, don’t believe it? Watch the footage below. I’d like to take this opportunity to point out that Robertson is worth hundreds of millions of dollars, and Jesus said it was harder for a rich man to enter heaven than for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle.
